The Revolutionary War

I watched something about the Revolutionary War on the history channel. It's called the Story of Us. I learned that there were people called the redcoats. They were from England. There were many redcoats, there were one redcoat to every four Americans! That's alot! The Americans didn't like the redcoats though. The Americans didn't want like them in their country. So the Americans started fighting the redcoats. They started a war called the Revolutionary War. A lot of people died in the war. The last battle of the Revolutionary War was in 1781, but the Revolutionary War didn't officially end until 1783.
